The team points ranking is just another way we attempt to convert your hours of sufferring into a number that will make you feel bad about yourself. At least with this one, you can blame your crappy teammates.

To get a rank for your team, we do this:

[1] Take every race from the last 9 months that you guys had at least 3 guys finish in with the same team name*.
[2] Take the points from whoever on your team did the best in that race and call it your "team race score."
[3] Take the best six "team race scores" we can find for your team, average them, and sort all the teams by that number. If you don't have at least 3 team race scores from the last nine months, then you don't race enough to be cool and we don't like you.

So if your team races a lot, probably have tons of race scores that will get ignored, since we only care about the top six. If you don't race so much, then try not to suck as often.

*If a bunch of dudes on your team like to race under slightly different team names, now would be a great time to search for your team, go to the team page, and then merge all the different team names together so you guys can represent on the next team ranking. If for some reason that is confusing to you, (or because we suck at programming) hit that feedback form, we love it.
